Hopi ear candling, otherwise known as Thermal Auricular Therapy is a traditional holistic therapy that
dates as far back as the Ancient Greeks; however it was the spiritually aware Hopi Indian tribe in the USA
who together with the German company Biosun brought Hopi Ear Candles to the UK.
This widely versatile and deeply soothing herbal treatment may prove beneficial for all sorts of
conditions including; sinusitis, migraines, tension headaches, jaw pain, tinnitus, hayfever, rhinitis,
seasonal allergies, colds, congestion, snoring, stress, to name but a few. It should be noted that
for ongoing or chronic conditions repeat Hopi ear candling treatments are highly recommended.
The Hopi ear candling process is very simple and pain free: a cotton 'candle' impregnated with beeswax* and herbs
(typically St. John's Wort*, Chamomile and Sage) is inserted into the outer ear and once lit,
acts as a chimney drawing out impurities and burning them away, whilst gentle vibrations massage
the ear drum and rebalance pressure throughout the ears, forehead and sinus cavities.
Contrary to popular belief, any residue seen in the remainder of the candle is not ear wax but
merely the components of the candle itself; all candles are fitted with a safety filter so not
